The act was thirteen minutes long on the full stage. The Gingras consists of one Frenchman and his young male assistant. The two men have a heavyweight juggling routine in the style of Paul Conchas. Princess Indita

Princess Indita is a snake charmer. She does an introductory speech in which she shows the audience pictures of India and Indian life. She uses several snakes, one of which is a rattler and the other is a harmless yellow one She then performs a “sacrifice” dance. The Princess then points at her lips and receives a kiss from the yellow snake. She also teases the rattlesnake into a fury in which it coils and snaps. She does a “death struggle” with the seemingly trained yellow snake for the finish.

Hughie Jennings and Ben Smith

This act entitled “The New Mascot” was twenty-one minutes long. Hughie Jennings is a famous baseball player who plays himself in this short song and conversation act. Jennings wears civilian clothes and meets Ben Smith who is in blackface. Jennings agrees that Smith will be the new mascot for the Detroit tigers and goes to change into his baseball uniform. While he does that, Smith tells some stories and sings in a “sweet lyric tenor voice.” Jennings returns, gives an “Eh Yah’ rooting exhibition”, and monologues about the players of old. For the finish, they sing a duet.
