Morris and Karno

This comedic acrobatic pantomime was nine minutes long on the full stage. A soldier parades in front of a sentry box in a kilt. A “souse” enters and is shot by the sentry who has comedic difficulty getting the corpse into a body bag. The corpse runs off, much to the sentry’s consternation. The man returns in a bear suit and fights with the sentry. The bear grabs the sentry by the leg and pulls him into the box as the lights are lowered. The bear exits the box rubbing his stomach as though he has eaten the sentry. As the lights go up the sentry is seen asleep at his post, the whole thing having been a dream.

Dyer and Faye

The act was fifteen minutes long. Two young men do some crossfire talk and a burlesque drama bit. They perform a travesty and then sing a duet for an encore in which one of the men pretends that he is from the insane asylum.

Stuyvesant and King Sisters

The act was fourteen minutes long on the full stage. The King Sisters and young and slim and Miss Stuyvesant is the “matronly type”. They play up their differences for comedic effect. They finish with a trio song which is simple but effective.

Tilford

The act was nineteen minutes long on the full stage. Tilford is a talented ventriloquist who smokes a cigar while performing. He sits his grotesque dummy on a table and uses a telephone. He does fast talk with his dummy while smoking and at one point travels into the audience. “Even under the spotlight there is no perceptible movement of the lips.”

Al Wild

The act was twelve minutes long. Wild wears street clothes and imitates a cornet, trombone, and various animals.

Felix Haney and Co.

The act was seventeen minutes long on the full stage. This suffragette sketch sees a wife attending political conventions while her husband is forced to stay home and do housework. “She is finally brought to see the errors of her way by having her baby fall sick.”

Wilson and Wilson

The act was fourteen minutes long. A male comedian and a female soubret sing and play the violin. The man acts as a messenger boy and a “boob”. The girl sings and then the man plays ragtime numbers on his violin. They finish with a “semi-dance” and go offstage as he continues to play.

The Temple Girls

The act was thirteen minutes long on the full stage. The Temple Girls is a female quartet who sings and plays instruments.

Spencer and Williams

This “settee” act was thirteen minutes long. The duo places a “rustic bench” in front of an olio drop. They open with a recitation duet and some dancing. The girl does a solo and the man does a monologue and “Yiddish” song. The girl changes to a short soubret dress and they do some more singing and a “neat dance” for the finale.

Ten Happy Folks

The act was eighteen minutes long on the full stage. This is a “plantation style” act which is similar to that of the Dixie Serenaders. The group sings and does single and double dances.
