Marion Garson

Operatic selections. 10 minutes in one. This is a very young girl not over 18 years of age and is a far better singer than acts that we pay twice that figure. She has been going very big with our patrons here and I feel sure she would do fully well on a return.

Watermelon Trust

25 minutes, full stage. Five colored people – 3 men and 2 women, Singing, dancing and talking. This act goes very big for about 15 minutes but hurt the act the balance of the time they were on the stage. If they were doing about 15 or 16 minutes I think it would be a great act. It is very rough and we had to tone it down considerable [sic]. If they were allowed to do as they please it would be positively filthy.

Taylor & Orletta

Singing and talking sketch. 17 minutes, interior. Full stage. The singing in this act is very fair- much better than the usual run of the three a day acts, but the talking is something awful and should be cut out. With the talking out this act would do very well for three shows.

Wentworth Horses

10 minutes, full stage-wood. Introducing three people, two horses and a cart. This act is away from the usual run of horse acts, consisting mostly of bareback riding. It is without a doubt the best horse act that we have played.

Faust Trio

16 minutes, special set. This is a comedy acrobatic act introducing dancing doll. Owing to the hard work of the people in this act they just about get away. I do not consider that they have any talent with the exception of one man who is a fairly good acrobat.

Abbie Mitchell and Her Four Southerners

12 minutes in one. This act is going very badly with the exception of about two minutes in which they do some rough dancing. The act very much like amateurs. The costumes look very bad and it is a question in my mind whether or not the act will ever make good.

Liquid Air

25 minutes in three, interior. Demonstrated by Prof. Rugg. This act does not seem to be helping our business and it is a question with us whether it is a good thing to put in a vaudeville show. The act, of course, is very quiet and really tiresome to the majority of our patrons. We have the orchestra play a little music all the way through the act which, I think, helps it considerable.
