Rose Stahl & Co.

Dressing Room Scene in three. 25 minutes. This act is away from the ordinary sketch and is going very well. There are several things in the act which we considered objectionable and, of course, had her cut them out after the first performance.

Elsie Janis

Olio in one. 14 minutes. Singing and imitations. Miss Janis’ imitations of Vesta Tilley singing “In the Pale Moonlight” is very good and her imitation of Eddy Foy is great. Miss Janis is on at 10:30 at night and is going very big. We consider her among the best single turns in the business.

Jewell’s Manikins

25 minutes. This is one of the best acts of the kind that I have ever seen. Operated by six people. This is a novelty and one which I feel sure helps our matinee.

Dan McAvoy and His 5th Avenue Girls

27 minutes. Full stage, interior. There were several things in Mr. McAvoy’s act which we consider objectionable. We, of course, cut them out but Mr. McAvoy will bear watching at all times with his present act. He went very big here. He is a hard worker, trying hard to please every minute he is on the stage.

Mayne Remington and Her Bungle Boo Loo Babies

Opens in one-10 minutes. Closes in two-5 minutes. Time of act 15 minutes. Introducing Miss Remington and four pickanninies. This act goes very well. While I cannot recommend Miss Remington’s singing alone, the act as a whole is good.

The Four Bards

Acrobatic act. Full stage, wood. 12 min. This act is one of the biggest hits of the kind that we have ever played. This is their first appearance here in less than a year and they are going fully as big as on their first appearance. They are an act that make people talk and I really believe that aside from their pleasing the patrons they are the one acrobatic act that draw money.

Jordan & Harvey

Street in one. 18 minutes. This is a Hebrew singing and talking act and their first appearance in vaudeville in Pittsburgh. They are going very well here, fully as big as York and Adams have gone for us.

Chas. Hawtrey & Co.

Sketch, “Time is Money.” Interior, full stage. 35 min. Mr. Hawtrey’s act is going very well and I feel sure that he has been responsible for quite a lot of new business. We are getting a class of people to see Mr. Hawtrey who have never attended vaudeville performance in Pittsburgh before.

Bedini & Arthur

Comedy juggling act. Carrying set house. Wood, full stage. 15 minutes. The comedy of Mr. Arthur is equal to any that we have played. Mr. Bedini’s juggling is very clever and dresses very neat. This is surely the laughing hit of the bill.

Six Musical Cuttys

Interior, full stage. 18 minutes. This is a very neat musical act – three bothers and three sisters and a big hit here. Wardrobe fine. I wish we could get something every week at their figure, just as good.
