The opening is prettily set, having a well-painted special drop, and while some of the numbers are a trifle heavy the singing smoothed over that possible objection.

The Castilians

The act was twelve minutes long. It consisted of the group making statuary poses. They use verdigris to make their bodies look like bronze figures with green rust. For their final pose, they “mounted atop a coloured globe representing the earth, set in a chariot, to which are attached bronze lions.”

World and Kingston

Miss. Kingston has a showy dress full of feathers, and she makes three changes.

Alisky’s Hawaiian Serenaders

The act entitled “A Night in Hawaii” was eighteen minutes long. There are two vocal solos accompanied by a chorus. Joseph Keukuka plays a steel guitar. A woman does “a native dance for the close”. The act is staged as a tropical setting.
