“The Cheer-Up Comedian.” Grant gave 19 minutes of entertainment that seemed to be thoroughly enjoyed by the entire house. He held the audience all the way through without any trouble, gained a lot of laughs and applause and finished strong. 15 minutes, olio in 1.
In a comedy singing sketch, “The Substitute”. This pair of players have not the slightest trouble in getting into the good graces of the audience. They hold its attention throughout and finished strong. The act was eminently satisfactory in every particular. C.D.F. in 3, 24 minutes.
“The Medley Man and the Maid in Brown”. A very clever team of singers and dancers who present quite an original act and a novel turn. The act is well dressed, they both make a very pleasing appearance, they sing well enough and they do some exceedingly unusual hard-shoe dancing. The act proved itself to be well worth while, went exceptionally well all the way through and finished very strong. It was a particularly meritorious offering and gave excellent satisfaction. 15 minutes, street in one.
Two men in a comedy acrobatic and leaping act. Both appeared as grotesque or eccentric comedians. The stunts they present are all very good and apparently pleased, but they stall a great deal and unnecessarily consume time. The act got along nicely, was given quite a few punctuations of applause and finished fairly strong. 13 minutes, landscape in 4.
These well-known aerialists got along fine and made an excellent closing number for what is all in all a very excellent show finished strong. Garden in 5, 10 minutes.
In “Book in Wellington”. This team is especially deserving of credit for the reason that when they appeared here two seasons they were about as genuine a front as one could imagine. This time they came on and were really the hit of the bill, barring nothing. The audience were delighted and they finished very strong. Personally, I am delighted with their success for they were badly discouraged on their last trip here. Special set in 1 ½. 23 minutes.
In “Cherie”. These well known farceurs repeated the genuine hit they have always made in this house and created a decidedly favorable impression. The act was in fact an unmistakable hit and tickled the fancy of the entire house. Finished strong. 21 minutes, light fancy in 3.
In “At Hensfoot Corners”. This clever pair scored an unmistakable hit all the way through and left nothing to be desired. A most likeable and successful act in every respect. 21 minutes, special act in 4.
The Polar Hero. Hansen’s delivery is rather bad, notwithstanding which he managed to gain the attention of the audience from the moment he appeared on the stage and to hold it without the slightest trouble throughout the act. His talk seemed to acquire the undivided attention of the entire house, and it evidently was an offering of decided interest. Proved to be eminently satisfactory. 18 minutes in 1.
Impersonations of great men, past and present. Everything he introduced won a good hand and some of his impersonations proved to be very pleasing to the audience. He won many good rounds of applause and finished strong. 12 minutes. C.D.F. in 3.
