Linton & Laurence

In “The Piano Store.” Quite an entertaining little comedy skit that apparently pleased, although it wasn’t a great hit. Got along very nicely, however, and were thoroughly satisfactory. Finished fairly strong. 17 minutes, C.D.F.

Vernon & Co.

Ventriloquist. Gave a very acceptable performance and got along very nicely all the way through. Finished moderately strong. Open in 1, C.D.F., close in 1. 24 minutes.

The Three Ernests

Three men in comedy characters presenting a decidedly meritorious comedy bar and bounding mat act. These boys do a lot of very clever tricks and present them with unqualified success. There are laughs a plenty and the work is a credit to them from a legitimate standpoint. Went big all the way through and finished strong. 6 minutes, wood in 5.

Clifford & Burke

This well known team of black-face comedians got along fine all the way through and finished strong, taking several bows. 20 minutes, street in one.

Valerie Bergere & Co.

In “The Lion Tamer.” The act gained the closest attention all the way through, Miss Bergere was accorded a reception upon her entrance, and the act scored a distinct success. Tehy [sic] took several curtains at the finish, and the work of the star was unqualified. Supporting company very good. Special set in 5, 22 minutes.

Albert Hole

English boy soprano. This young lad is a great singer and made a distinct success. All of his numbers went very well and finished strong. 9 minutes, place in one.

Two Pucks

Sang a number of character songs, the “tough number” finish taking them away in great shape. They were compelled to respond with several bows. 17 minutes, interior in 2.

Tops, Topsy & Tops

Man and woman in a fairly good novelty act consisting of singing, acrobatic work and stunts by two dogs. The act goes a little slowly, but in the main is satisfactory and makes a fairly good opener. Finished moderately strong. 11 minutes, C.D.F.

Duncan’s Royal Scotch Collies

A fine looking lot of dogs that are well trained and perform a number of unusual feats, each and all of which scored heavily. The act is well worth while and proved a very good closer.

Charles & Frannie Van and Co.

In “A Case of Emergency.” this well known act did only fair and wasn’t nearly as big a hit as last time we played it. The work of the individuals seemed to be all right, but for some reason or other act failed to score heavily and finished only fairly strong. 15 minutes, street in 1.
