Singing and instrumental, 14 minutes, full stage, special set. 1 lady, 4 men. The singing is not exceptionally good, and the instrumental portion is nothing remarkable. Stage setting very pretty. Went good with the house.
Comedy cyclists, 12 minutes, F.S. Special drop. 1 lady. 3 men. Good comedy act Straight work has all been done before, but they introduce considerable real comedy, which procures many laughs. They worked under a considerable handicap, owing to the smallness of our stage, much of the work having the appearance of being crowded to a great extent. Went well with the house.
Roller skater, 10 minutes full stage. Good act holding the interest of the audience throughout. Clever evolution in the rollers, and a very pretty act from a costume view-point.
Comedy sketch, 17 minutes, C.D.F. 1 lady. 3 men. Excellent comedy sketch. One long continuous laugh from start to finish. The audience liked them immensely and accorded vociferous applause at the close.
Posing and feats of strength, 12 minutes, F.S. Special drop. Lady and man. Posings [sic] display great muscular development, and the many feats of strength were a delight to witness. The act is a novelty new to this city, and was greatly appreciated is consequence.
Ventriloquial novelty, 12 min, F.S. Special drop, 2 men. Fairly clever ventriloquist, yet not so capable as some we have had here. From a scenic standpoint the act is very good, there bring an abundance of pretty scenic, and clever mechanical effects. Went well with the audience.
Sketch, 18 minutes, F.S. 3 people. They make the most possible cut of a sketch which seems to be lacking in opportunities for the talents which we know these people to possess. Just one dramatic situation at the close gives it a dash of life and vigor. On the whole rather weak.
‘Behind the Scenes,’ 18 minutes. F.S. Lady & man. Good act affording much hilarity by breezy comedy, and bright repartee. Vocal renditions well done, and the costuming worthy of special mention. Met with big success from the audience.
Juggling and shadowgraph, 15 min. F.S. Lady. Man. Some new and novel feats of jugglery by the man, coupled with some exceptionally clever work in shadowgraphy by the lady constitutes an act which is particularly good and went well with the audience.
Singing and dancing, 24 min. F.S. 8 people. Owing to illness of one of the members of Knight Bros. and Sawtells this act was obliged to cancel. We secured The Scotch Kilties who show much ability in Scottish airs and dances and were a big favorite with the house.
