Imperial Opera Company

20 minutes, 3 scenes, 9 people & conducter [sic]. They offer a diversified program of selections from the better known operas, in voices of quite good quality. The scenic effects and costuming in notably attractive. One serious handicap under which both they and we are obliged to work is, that the music is arranged for a greatly augmented orchestra, and it is of course difficult to do justice to the offering and all it contains with an orchestra of but four members. The act was very well received at ever performance.

Tom E. Murphy & Co.

Singing skit ‘Fixing Father,’ 15 minutes C.D.F. Good act, singing being good, and the comedy, what little there is of it, being exactly the proper kind. Received tremendous applause and the act, at all performances, was a sure hit.

Hoag & Hardy

Sketch, 14 minutes (2) Lady & man. Weak act, having little or nothing to recommend it. About the poorest sketch seen here in a long time past. Some of the ‘gags’ are old, so old that one wonders at their temerity in offering them.

Middleton & Spellmeyer

Comedy skit, 17 minutes (1) Drop. Good act, the dialogue being bright and sparkling and produces much laughter. Man has one song given in a voice of good quality; Scenic equipment makes an attractive display.

Six American Dancers

17 minutes (2) Special drop. At the matinee and second evening performance act was well-received; at the first evening performance they did not fair so happily until the finale, when the ensemble dancing which is well executed, receives plenty of applause. Costumes are very attractive and make a pleasing display.

Jimmie & Betty Morgan

Vocal and instrumental, 16 minutes (1). Bulk of the work falls to the man who is passably fair with the piano violin. Lady sings two songs in a decidedly weak voice that can scarcely be heard a dozen rows back. Act was only mildly received.

Midnight Rollickers

Cabaret act, 14 minutes full stage special set. 9 people. Some of the dances are very clever, and well-received. Instrumental selections are not of particularly great merit. The scenic and lighting effects are extremely attractive, and make a pretty picture.

Labelle Marie

Variety artisite, 10 minutes open full stage, close one. Manifests much versatility; sings quite well, and does an imitation bit in quite a clever manner. Plays the cornet and performs on the slack wire, and the act goes fairly well.

Irene West’s Hawaiian Sextette

In Native music and dancing, 17 minutes full stage special set. The ‘Hula-hula’ dance creates quite a sensation, and some of the native selections owing to peculiarity of melody were rather interesting. On the whole the act was fairly well-received, but not as favorably as some big features that have been shown here.

Klass & Bernie

Musical, 13 minutes (1) 2 men. Very good act, their program being diversified and very well executed. Their ability and aptitude in playing any selection requested by the audience is a bit of novelty that wins for them unstinted praise.
