Whitfield-Ireland Co.

20 minutes (2) Special drop. 1 lady. 2 men. Very good offering the comedy causing uproarious laughter from beginning to end. Their special drop with its quaintly humorous advertising proved a riot, the audience “getting” it immediately, and enjoying it immensely. The entire act is a sweeping success.

Cliff Bailey

Acrobatic comedian, 12 min, full stage. Does very little real acrobatic work. Does the old Melrose fall with the tables; the remainder of the act comprising not very brilliant comedy that gets a few scattered laughs.

Kanazawa Japs

Juggling, balancing and acrobatics, 10 min, 3 men, full stage. The lofty perch balancing feats are extremely well done; the remainder of the act including the familiar barrel juggling and acrobatic tricks are on par with these specialties as seen in all other acts of this kind. The unfailing comedy contained in the juggling now, as always, produces plenty of laughter.

California Orange Packers

14 mins. Full stage, special set. Avery [sic] appealing little novelty, quite the best seen here in a long time past. Entertaining and education is a combination not often met with theatrical offerings these days, and here is a welcome relief from many of the stereotypes and hackneyed forms of divertissement with which the stage of today is overburdened.

Green & Green

Burlesque magic and dancing; 12 min. (1). The attempts at comedy through the fake magic business, are very poor, and this part of the act is very tiresome. Some fairly clever dancing livens the act up to some extent, but taking it all in all, the entire affair is absolutely uninteresting.

Arnaut Brothers

Acrobatic novelty, 10 minutes full stage. Exceptionally good offering, the playing of violins while executing difficult tumbling tricks is a bit of novelty that meets with instant approval. Bird imitations at the finish are excellent, and the entire act, is a success of the surest kind.

Mr. & Mrs. Gordon Wilde

Shadowgraphs, 11 minutes, full stage. Particularly good act, in fact the best of its kind ever seen here. But our audience is rather indifferent is shadowgraph acts. There have been many here in times past, and so, despite the artistic excellence of this particular offering, our audience was only mildly interested.

Joe Case

Charater [sic] comedian, 11 minutes (1). Fair act, his character delineations combines with dialect at times quite funny, causes considerable laughter, and he is the only one on the bill who gets anything like recognition.

The Sharrocks

Mind reading specialty, 18 minutes (2) S.drop. The mind reading business is very cleverly done, the rapidly with which the lady answers the various questions is truly astonishing, and there is just the right vein of comedy to keep everyone thoroughly amused throughout.

The Schemttans [sic]

Equilibrists, 10 minutes (2) lady & man. Good act, performing with skill and grace a number of artistic posing, and difficult equilibristic feats. Bits of juggling are adroitly done, and contribute materially to the success of the offering.
