In an act styled “Mirthful and Harmonious Comedians” four men; straight; sing comedy and harmony songs. Their singing was fair; comedy, rotten; their dress was rather shabby – no style about them whatever. 10 min in street; went fair.
Comedy juggler. Juggles balls on a snare drum giving imitations of trains, etc.; also juggles cannon balls, talking all through his act; veryneat [sic] appearance; 14 min. full stage; went very good.
In a “nut” comedy act styled “Let Him Rave” – uses a man and woman in the audience – some “Raver” – had the audience with him all the time, and, of course, went very big. 15 min. in street.
Opera singers and instrumentalists. They do some very fine work on the mandolin which brought forth great applause. Their singing received the same. Carry their own drop which represents a scene in Venice which showed up pretty when lit up. Dressed in Neapolitan costumes. 20 min. full stage. Went very big.
“The Variety Girl.” Opening in one with singing and dancing; then to full stage on the wire, talkingall [sic] the time, then with the bicycle, windup with acrobatic stunts. 10 min; went good.
In a comedy sketch entitled “Looking for Betsey” – man and woman; rural sketch; this sketch is full of life and laughs all went through and went great. Finished with an impersonation of the Berry Bros. in “Shore Acres.” 22 min full stage.
“The Quaint Comedians” – in “The Dude and the Scot.” They sing, dance, talk do queer acrobatic stunts in a peculiar way of their own, which amused the audience greatly, and went over big. 12 min. in one.
“A Bouquet of Songs.” Two women and a man in specially arranged singing act, one of the women accompanying at the piano – carry a very artistic setting which was greatly admired. 16 min. full stage – went very big.
Assisted by Ruth St. Clair. “The 20th Century Daring and Defying Wizard”; uses mail bag, straight-jacket, etc.; stated to-day that he changes his act Friday and Saturday – different stunts. His exhibition at noon to-day from the Longley Building before an immense crowd was a great success froma [sic] financial point; going big; 35 min.
“Juvenile Musical Wonders.” Piano and organ; singing; open in two with the oldest girl playing piano and then both play together on organ and piano after which the youngest sings two songs, close in two; 15 min. went good.
