Presenting “A Table D’Hote” – catchy songs, some breezy patter their restaurant scene and take-off on a taxi ride went very good; open in one and closed in full stage; 20 min. whole act went big.
Two men and two women; special set representing a modiste shop; the feature of the act is the draping of several gowns by one of the men; they sing several songs; very poor singers. 15 min. full stage; went only fair.
In “Dispossessed” – man and woman – comedy act with singing and piano playing; the wind-up of this act went great as there was a short talk about patriotism; special drop; 14 min.
Sings four of the latest songs; very neat appearance; three changes of costume; has a very poor voice; got a good hand, but more of a guy thing than anything else. One of the Police Commissioner’s was in tonight and said if we did not get better acts than that he would have to send the entire police here to keep order. 13 min in one.
A humorous musical. ARGUMENT ON Osculation. 8 girls, boy and a man; special setting, rose garden. Make a very neat appearance; rather long drawn out, but the finish went tremendous, eight curtains and great applause as two of the girls, when the rest were singing, came out one dressed as Uncle Sam and the other as Columbia. 23 min.
Musical virtuoso; carries a special full stage setting – Booked as excellent xylophonist, but did not go very good here – has two xylophones, one of them sounded more like a tin pan than a xylophone. 8 min in two.
“The Master Minds of Mental Mysticism” – man and woman; man works in the audience; special drop of green plush; answers questions, tells names, etc. 16 min. full stage; went fair. P.S. – The people don’t seem to like the show – I’ve heard quite a number of unfavorable comments, which is unusual, and mostly from our two-a-week patrons.
“Tiny Tots of Animaldom in Cute and Cunning Capers” – Composed in this act are dogs, cats, rats, pigeons and rabbits; but the act is principally with the rats, which seem to be at her command. 11 min. full stage; went only fair.
A scenic pantomimic novelty – seven men; in a picturesque athletic novelty – head balancing, twisting, and somersaulting which went over great with the audience. Special drop; min. full stage.
