Paul Barnes
Tramp monologist.
Winsor McCay
Evidently nervous. White chalk on a black board is used and black crayon on a white pad. Starts by drawing two baby heads and carries them through all the stages of life with great speed. Keeps the profiles the same changes the age with head dress and caps. The finale was a rapid sketch of “Little Nemo”, “Dull Care”, Hungry Henrietta” and other “Silas” drawings.
Violet Black
“AWest Point cadet (Dewitt Newing), comes to the home of his cousin, Margery Harrison (Miss Black), on lovemaking bent in violation of the Academy’s rules. The inopportune arrival of Lieutenant Masters (Thomas Wending) on the same mission forces the cadet to hide behind the piano” Miss Black does not make her character sweet or coy.
Ned Wayburn’s Attractions
A “fairy symphonette” led by Dorothy Jardon with eight more young women. There are three scenes. The scenes are set in Mexico, Japan and “Daisy-land” which is a field of daisies bordering water with woods in the background. The lights heighten the effects. Little dancing is done.
Sharp Brothers
Dance in hard and soft shoes. Several new steps are shown. For a finish a protracted dance is given by both without the orchestra. The rythm is perfectly kept.
Winona Winters
Looked sweet in her pink gown.
Louis A. Simon and Grace Gardner
A new finish has been added, doing away with the noisy college boys.
The Elite Musical Four
Dan Quinlan and Keller Mack
Much was made of the tooth pulling scene. A conversation in “one”.
