A special drop is used, hung in “one and a half.” It is probably the back drop used in the sketch (in addition to a few pieces of furniture.)
The slow deliberate delivery is not at all to the liking.
He sings as though his voice was really too good for parodies.
Nat Carr brings into vaudeville the Hebrew character which he played in "The End of the World" sketch with "Talk and Parodies."
He might do well to watch Al Jolson, who appears later on the bill. Carr will then have an idea of what a fast, breezy style of working means to an act and an audience.
It has been a mistake of Carr to bring this character into vaudeville.
Admitting that Carr was placed badly, "No. 2," still with the best spot on the program he would not have done much better.
