This is the performer who made a specialty of doing his act in the makeup of an overgrown ‘kid,’ and the last time he was here he went very strong indeed. He now does his act in evening dress, and I hardly think it is going to be as great a success as his old method. He got along quite nicely this afternoon, and in some ways possibly the idea may be better. He has rather a remarkable baritone voice, and after doing his impersonation the country ‘kid’ he sings a baritone song very cleverly. He closes his act with an impersonation of James A. Hern, of ‘Shore Acres,’ which is really artistic. 15 minutes in one.
