“America First”
During the Intermission
which followed blanks were passed for the
audience to sign pledging their aid to President
Wilson should war be declared. The idea
fitted in admirably with the patriotic fervor
the people had gotten into with the Rolfe and
Haddock act.
Rolfe and Haddock's "America First," the
headline turn, featuring Bruce Weyman, closed
the first half.
Applause greeted the act as
soon as the cards were flashed and for every
patriotic act, of which there are many,
the audience went wild with enthusiasm.
For a flash turn "America First," with its patriotic atmosphere
is secure. The turn has been
well framed and its members well drilled.
The men are are capable musicians with Wayman,
the lone singer, doing exceeding well
with his numbers.
