"Helene" is an 18 minute dramatic sketch that ended without a finish. Though never approaching greatness, the abbreviated version of "The Whirlwind" was not altogether ruined. The sketch has moments of comedy, including the scene when the girl asks her father Baron Le Bourg, played by Hardee Kirkland, for 600,000 francs. The sketch opens with Helene's lover, Robert de Calvignon (John Emerson), revealing that he had stolen 600,000 francs and gambled it away. Eventually the father forces Helene (Miss Olly) to reveal why she needs the money.
Miss Olly's performance was not a hit. On the other hand, Kirkland and Emerson carried their roles acceptably. With a proper finish the playlet may not be bad, but regardless it is not suitable for the vaudeville stage.
