The "Happyland" show is "presented"
to the public by Joe and Lou Hurtig. Songs include "The Gay Modiste," "The Man
From Tiffany," "Down in Lovers'
Lane," "Pansy,
My Honey Bee," "Yiddish Cowboy" and "Nova Rosa." Features Loretta LeRoy, Mabel Leslie, Florence Belmont, Nellie Weston, Kohler, and Margie Austin. There's another chorister from the mixed
collection of twelve or fourteen who steps
out of the line to take up a "part," Fannie
Brice as a maid. Fannie at least looks
good. For assistants Watson has Harry Kohler,
Chas. Brown and Hal Hoyt, the latter
two making one-half of the Monarch Comedy
Four, a quartet of male singers, with
ordinary voices but plenty of rough-house
comedy which appeals as funny to the
gallery.
"The Girls from Happyland" without
Billy W. Watson would be just the "Girls"
without the "Happy." Watson is the
whole show.
