Gertrude Vanderbilt and Clay Smith

The act was sixteen minutes long on the full stage. Vanderbilt and Smith sing and dance in evening clothes. Vanderbilt wears a nice sleeveless gown (one of three). The pair sing solos and duets and usually begin dancing on the second chorus of each song.
Despite the handicap of an unprepared orchestra and stage, the audience seemed to like them.
The pair is talented, but the act needs to be rearranged. They should perhaps build a regular skit for themselves. Vanderbilt also rushed through one of her numbers so fast that she was out of breath before the end. This killed the effect. If they change up their act slightly, they could have a sure-fire hit.
