From the standpoint of merit, it should read “Jere Grady and Frankie Carpenter”, as Mr. Grady gives one of the best pieces of character acting we have ever had in the house, in a part not dissimilar to that recently presented by Wm. H. Thompson in “Waterloo” but without the repulsive features of the latter. Miss Carpenter also does clever work and the sketch as a whole gives splendid satisfaction. Some of the patrons declare they liked it better than Will M. Cressy’s rural sketches. 18 Min. F.S. in a very beautiful setting of their own, which they carry.
