She first sang a sentimental song well adapted to show the scope of her voice. This she followed with an interesting Scotch medley. Following the two opening numbers Miss Carus shifted to the style of song that has caused her to be so much in demand in musical comedy. Her soon song, "Handle Me With Care," did not have enough verses to satisfy the audience. She got everything out of "None of Them's Got Anything on Me." "Take Your May to the Ball Game" made such a big hit that Miss Carus was compelled to give as a final encore "Are You Sincere."
