Miss Carus’s final comedy was a burlesque of fashionable dances.
She sang a poor young man's song: "The high cost of living is only a joke; it's the high cost of loving that's keeping me broke."
Miss Carus opens with a few quips coldly received by the audience. Her act did not go well until the final comedy, which was well applauded.
