The sketch itself was followed
with much interest, although there
is no action in it. It consists entirely of
dialogue woven together by. innumerable,
epigrams, some bright, some amusing; a
few true and just about as many incomprehensible.
Miss Spooner's "Devil" suited
the Brooklynites down to the ground, as
would anything she might have attempted.
