Songs not of the latest vintage. Miss Baker attempts a style in presenting her coeval offerings that was first created and found vogue when brought to the notice of the general public at the time Sophie Tucker broke into vaudeville. Baker does some coon shouting. Baker has four numbers.
The audience was divided in appreciation.
She did not score as well as she might have. This newcomer has the ability to deliver a "con," "woo" or "Yiddish" song, but she will have to be coached as to where to begin and when o stop; also how far to go.
