The semi rube done by the man is
bandied Just a little too serious. It might be better to cut
down on tbe talk. Inserting more numbers and
dancing, which in the end would probably make
up for the failure on the part of the usual rube
town talk that does not get any too much at
that.
Avery and Williams did a talking,
singing and dancing turn before a special
drop In "one," and considering the number of
"gags" that missed fire, fared well enough.
The talk, while inconsistent in spots, tends to
keep up a steady flow of good material, with the
work being reimbursed with some hearty
laughs.
