Prince's offering differs from most others of its kind in that he performs his ventriloquy in a one-act skit. The skit is about a youthful sailor charged with oversleeping and not appearing for his watch. "Jim," the highly educated dummy, played the role of the sailor.
The series of wise cracks that Prince caused Jim to pull kept the audience in a state of constant uproar.
