Returning from England Miss Anna Chandler presents a selection of the “rag stuff” that made her so very popular there. While she met with great success is England, much of that can be attributed to the novelty of her Ameiccan background in that foreign country. Back in America she must compete with multiple“singie singers” with “wriggley” songs, just as audiences are beginning to grow weary of these things. Some slight changes and her good singing voice, however, spelt success as audiences responded with demands of several recalls. “As long as the present craze for this style of song lasts Miss Chandler will be all right.”
Chandler opened with “Rosie” and followed with a Hebrew dialect infused “A Business Man,” an Italian number, “I Love It,” and “Lovie Joe.” The songs made the singer a solid success.
