A beautiful black horse doing a nice routine of tricks. Full stage.
24 minutes in 1. This man is rather out of the ordinary in this sort of work. His feats of memory are something wonderful and he works a good deal of comedy into telling the ages of persons in the audience and the day on which they were born. He is certainly a good feature and a novelty and is sure to be talked about.
14 minutes f.s. This is one of the best animal acts we have played. The dogs work well and their automobile stunt is a scream.
13 minutes in 1. Birch had not been here for 3 years and he is still doing his melodrama with the hats. This afternoon, although in a very hard spot, he got the audience in great shape with laughs all the way through and his finish was big. Tonight he repeated this experience.
12 minutes f.s. This is a rather ordinary musical act and the start of it was very bad. The finish probably would have been better if we had not had xylophone playing on the bill for the past 3 weeks.
Here is where we come into our won. Mr. Barnes carries off all the honors and made a big hit with every bit new material and songs as catchy and clever as any recently published. In one.
In a farce entitled, “What Would You Do”. This act belongs in the little houses where they never seen much. Full stage.
Nellie Brewster, with a good singing voice, is assisted by six young men and six girls. The finish where a special drop is used, representing a telegraph line on which is painted the bodies of birds with holes in the sheet through which protrude the heads of the boys and girls, in a finishing songs, seemed to catch the audience. Full stage.
“Hotel St. Reckless”. The lines do not amount to much but the two men score when they get right down to singing and to this they should confine their act. Full stage, closing in one.
With diablos, hoops and boomerangs they give a very entertaining novelty which most thoroughly please. Full stage.
