Felix and Caire

“In Search of a Past.” 7 scenes with quite a bit of special scenery. These two young people work very hard, but are hardly good enough for a No. 4 position on our bill. They would go better No. 3. Some of their songs are good, and so is their dancing. We must admit, however, that they were working under difficulties because of some confusion in their settings.

McMahon, Diamond & Clemence

Featuring “The Scarecrow Dance.” Two girls and a young man in a neat little singing and dancing act. The man is an exceptionally clever dancer, and the young girl, as the “scarecrow” is very good. Could hold a better position on the bill. Open in one. Close in two.

Willis Family

This act made very little appeal to our audience. It was a bit too quiet and their selections were not up to the standard, in our opinion. The act would do as a drawing room attraction, but hardly come up to the vaudeville standard. F.S.

Raymond and Heath

Mr. Heath is the whole act and has an individual style of presenting a song. Miss Raymond has little to do. They held this position satisfactorily and were well appreciated by our audience. Special drop in one depicting the Boardwalk at Atlantic City.

Holmes and Buchanan

Featuring “The Girl of 1847.” He regretted having to open the show with this act, as it could hold a much better position on the bill, but owing to the large amount of singing on the bill, this seemed the only proper arrangement. The act is a pretty one, and well done. F.S. close in one.

Hal Stephens

“Famous Characters in Famous Scenes.” Mr. Stephens is giving us this year “Shylock,” “Mr. Pickwick,” “Hip Van Winkle” and “Judas.” All are well done. He carries a lot of scenery, which helps the act a lot and there is a company of four supporting hits. F.S.

McIntyre and Heath

Monday and Tuesday of this week, they are giving us “Waiting at the Church”; Wednesday and Thursday, “The Man from Montana”; Friday and Saturday, “The Georgia Minstrels.” It is needless to say that “Waiting at the Church” was well-received. Anything these two old artists would get a big reception. F.S.

Joe Schneck and Gus Van

This two man team is one of the best we have ever played. The audience could not get enough of them and they gave all the numbers they knew. The dialest [sic] singing of one of the men is extraordinarily good, while the piano playing and tenor work of the other is worthy of especial commendation. In one.

Maxis Burlesque Circus

This is one of the funniest animal acts we have ever played and made quite a hit, having the audience laughing every minute. The work of the animals is of secondary importance; it is the burlesque wrestling match, bull fight, etc. that makes the act what it is. F.S.

Burns and Fulton

These two clever dancers are giving us a new act this time around and are doing very well indeed. The act is well-dressed and the special setting of plush drapery adds to the act’s attractiveness. F.S.
