Bobker’s Arabs

Twelve of them. Native dances, native instrumental music, pyramid building and lighting-like ground tumbling. An act that goes with a dash and made a very good closing number. F.S.

Ben Linn

Singing comedian. Mr. Linn seemed to be quite well liked and we can recommend him for any of the less important positions on a vaudeville bill. The spectacle of as fat a man as he trying to dance caused a lot of merriment. In one.

George Wilson

Minstrel comedian. In our opinion, Mr. Wilson’s act is not up to the present day vaudeville standard. He failed to get but a few scattered laughs and it seems that this type of act has about outgrown its usefulness. In one.

Jesse L. Lasky’s “The Trained Nurses”

In our opinion, this is the best act Mr. Lasky has ever given us. Mr. Bergman and Miss Clark are at their best in this production and the supporting company and chorus are fine. Beautifully dressed and well staged. The songs are catchy and the situations pleasing. Altogether a decided hit. F.S.

The Alpine Troupe

Double wire act. Three girls, two men. A very pleasing, attractive and well-costumed act. They do their difficult feats in a rapid manner and received much applause. F.S.

Henry Clive’s

“Spirit Paintings.” This is one of the very best illusions we have ever played and its value is greatly added to by the clever line talk of Mr. Clive. It is very mystifying and is bound to cause no end of speculative argument this week. F.S.

Stuart Barnes

Mr. Barnes is popular here and was very well received. The only criticism we have is that too much of his material is old. He should they to get away from the type he has been portraying for a number of years and do something along another line. Perfectly satisfactory in this position, however. In one.

The Musical Lyons

Three men, one in blackface, who furnish good comedy and excellent music. Strong enough for a better position on the program. F.S. closing in one.

Kelly Gaston & Minerva Coverdale

They do eccentric dancing, some little patter, and sing several songs. Did very well in this position today. F.S. can close in one.

Valerie Bergere and Co.

“Judgement.” A splendid dramatic sketch, held the attention every moment it was being presented. About the best act she has had.  Her support is very competent, two men, three women and a small child. Beautiful special setting which she carries. F.S.
