Six Musical Cuttys

Interior, full stage. 18 minutes. This is a very neat musical act – three bothers and three sisters and a big hit here. Wardrobe fine. I wish we could get something every week at their figure, just as good.

Tom Hearn

“The Lazy Juggler.” 11 minutes, interior. This act causes continual laughter from start to finish. I wish there were more like it.

WM. Courtleigh & Co

“Under the Third Degree”. Interior – 27 min. I think Mr. Courtleigh’s act much better than Henry De Vrie’s and in my opinion, Mr. Courtleigh is a much better actor. He is going very big with us and has caused considerable talk around the town. I feel sure that if we had played him in the regular season that it would have been one of our best weeks. I think Mr. Courtleigh is deserving of work and feel sure that he will make more than good on any bill.

Argyro Kastron

Violinist. 12 minutes, olio in one. This young lady is an exceptionally good violinist. She is going very well with us, as good as any act of the kind we play.

Proveanas

Europe’s most expert bicycle women. Garden – 13 min. I think this is one of the best bicycle acts I have ever seen. While they do not dress quite as neat as the Kaufmann Troupe, I think their work is equally as good.

Hyams & McIntyre

“Two Hundred Wives”. Kitchen – 23 minutes. This act went very big which is entirely due to Miss McIntyre. I cannot say much for the work of Mr. Hyams but taking the act as a whole, it is among the best.

Hoch-Elton & Co.

“Mlle Ricci” 19 minutes, interior. I consider this a very bad sketch, very badly played. I think among the worst we have ever had.

Woodland Nymphs

Introducing the Rooney Sisters and ten young ladies. Singing and dancing. Special scenery. This act is going very good with us. It is a very neat act and the girls all work together. It is a moretthan [sic] making good for us and aside from the scenery, which is not good, I think it one of the best girl act in the business.

Rooney & Bent

Singing, talking and dancing act. Time of act 14 minutes. Full stage, closes in one about three minutes. I consider this one of the best dancing acts that we have ever played. I cannot say much for the talking in the act in the act [sic] but taken as a whole it makes more than good.

Treloar & Tempest

Time of act 11 minutes, full stage. The muscular work of Mr. Treloar is great. I consider him on of the best in this line but do not consider the weight lifting good. His assistant, Miss Tempest, acts very much like an amateur which, no doubt, she is and I consider this hurts the act quite a little.
