11 minutes, Palace, full stage. This is a very good bird act. While not so many birds as some acts of this kind that we have played, I am sure it gives much better satisfaction than any bird act we have played.
The Mysterious Face. 9 minutes in two. This is simply something to advertise and whole it creates some talk, I cannot say that it pleases our patrons.
Acrobats. 9 minutes, full stage, garden. There is too much sameness to this act and they dress very badly. Can only be classed as an ordinary act which is not worth the money they receive.
25 minutes, full stage. Palace. There is noting to this act except pretty costumes. I do not consider this as good as the Carter De Haven Trio Act and I think they are getting entirely too much money.
Comedy sketch. 20 minutes full stage. Two shows daily. This, in our opinion, is not a good act and we would not care to play it a return. If they were in the three show section they would just about get away.
15 minutes in one. Carrying their own drop. Singing and dancing. This act is far above the three show a day act and if it was not for the fact that we have a big show we would have them on the bill much later than we have them this week. We are forced to put them on at 7:45. They are going well.
Acrobats and ball jugglers. 17 minutes, full stage, wood. This is a great act. We do not hesitate to say that it is one of the best that we have played. We are closing the show with it and it is going big.
40 minutes, full stage. In his “Ching Ling Poo” magic and imitations of various band leaders. This is a very good act and it is surely going great with our patrons. Mr. Lafayette is compelled to take four and five encores at each performance. Our business this week is very big and we feel sure that this act is improving the business considerably.
In “Jockey Jones” 17 minutes. This act is going very big, especially the finish in which is shown a horse race by the use of mechanical horses. It is a very exciting finish and never fails to take several curtain calls.
Singing comedienne. Hebrew impersonator. 15 minutes introducing an imitation of Kate Barry singing ‘My Enry Brown.’ Miss Shaw’s imitation of Kate Barry is not good. I think Miss Shaw’s great fault heretofore has been the length of her act. We had her cut three or foure [sic] minutes out of the act which I feel sure has improved it some.
