Mehlinger & Meyer

Valeska Suratt

29 min. “The Purple Poppy.” Having established herself here in musical comedy and travesty, this well known artiste was really a surprise in this comedy drama by Paul M. Potter. It is a strong story with many tense moments and Miss Suratt did splendidly in all the lines and business. A big dramatic climax held the audience spellbound and the final curtain brought big applause. Miss Suratt wore some wonderful clothes.

Mme. Cronin’s Electrical Novelty

14 min. The electrical portion of this act is an elaboration of what Morris Cronin offered in vaudeville a year ago. In the present act, dancing takes the place of the juggling formerly done by Cronin. It lack speed, but is a pretty novelty. Held the audience interested and was given. A good hand at the finish.

Alexander MacFayden

Misses Chareonte

10 min. A very pretty dancing number by two girls, attractively costumed and staged. The girls do four numbers, each of which is well done and at the finish they were accorded a liberal hand.

Deiro

14 min. One of the biggest applause hits of the show went to the credit of this clever musician. His program includes classical as well as popular numbers and he was compelled to give two extra encores.

“Kisses.”

24 min. This very clever sketch repeated the favorable impression made on its first showing here a year ago. It is not only a cleverly written playlet, but is splendidly acted and contains plenty of bright lines and situations. It was very well liked and finished strong.
