Rose Wentworth Trio

In an act of ‘Novel Horsemanship.’ This is a good act, in fact one of the best of the horse acts we have played, both in acrobatic stuff and the horsemanship is very good. There are three people in the act, two men and a woman. Runs about 8 minutes full stage.

Chas & Minnie Savan

In a laughing pantomimic act entitled ‘Mishaps.’ This act has been here so often and is also so familiar with everyone that comment is unnecessary. They did not get a hand at the matinee today. Were never very strong in Cleveland. Time of act, 14 minutes, full stage. They can close in one but the stuff they do is bad.

Eddie Foy

Foy appears as ‘Sister Ann’ of ‘Mr. Bluebeard’ and sings three songs from that production. Between songs he tells a few jokes and introduces a ‘prop’ elephant which gets many laughs. He is proving the biggest drawing card of the season. 11 min, full stage, close in one.

Boniface and Waltzinger

Presenting their sketch ‘The Woman who Hesitates is Won,’ which gives Miss Waltzinger an opportunity to show her voice to a good advantage, and Boniface a chance to display his ability as a comedian. 20 min, full stage.

John & Emma Ray

In ‘Casey the Fireman.’ While there is no question as to the merit of the play and the players as laugh procedure, yet they have lost their value here as drawing cards with this vehicle, owing to the great number of times it has been presented in this city which is the home of the Rays. Full stage closing in one, 33 min.

Will West & Picks

Opens in one with a coster song then to two where he has a special drop representing the Subway and sings ‘The Pickaninnies’ with a chorus of fine boys with picks made up as laborers. West possesses a good voice and the act was well received. 14 min, can close in one.

Laverne & Cross

Equilibrists. Two young men in an acrobatic act, which considering the price is one of the best acts of its kind we have ever played. 14 min, full stage. Can close in one if necessary.

Mary Hampton & Co

Three people presenting ‘The Melodrama’ a travesty on melodrama. Miss Hampton displayed her usual talent and well supported and while the sketch seemed to go well, there was a noticeable lack of applause at the finish. 25 min, full stage.

Hayes & Healy

In their new act ‘The Clerk and the Bell Boy.’ The ludicrous contrast of their appearance held up the audience in a mood of expectancy, but they did nothing worthwhile until reaching the finish in which the midget gives a funny imitation of a circus rider. Full stage, 16 min.

Robert Hilliard & Co.

‘Number 973.’ The best pathetic sketch seen in this house for many a day. Audience was held breathless until the finish, when they greeted Hilliard and his company with storms of applause and repeated curtain calls. Not only the hit of the bill but the hit of the season. Full stage, 24 min.
