This young lady is billed as a vocalist and a comedienne but she does not comedy. She sings two songs and plays two banjo selections. She is very pretty sweet and dainty, and has large beautiful eyes which she uses to good advantage. Seemed to go quite well. Drop in one. 12 minutes. Good act for the money.
Ventriloquist. She uses one dummy. She does not do at all for Cleveland. She received very little laughter this after noon and no applause. Drop in one. 12 minutes.
Man and woman. Man dressed as tramp and does comedy juggling. The woman does dancing specialties. Both are quite good. A good opening act. C.D.F. in three. 15 min.
In, “Taming An Actress”. This act is far from being what I expected of it. The story is by no means a new one, and was surprised to see it go as well as it did. The story is one of two girls who are left in a very lonesome residence at night, and after Miss Caborne reads a letter from her sweetheart to her friend in regard to how he is going to tame her, they decide to go to bed. She then tells her friend that she would not marry her sweetheart except at the point of a revolver. They then go through the usual scene of hiding their jewels in the bed and looking under the bed for a man, and then turn out the lights, and immediately enters the burglar who makes all kinds of demands upon them, such as, Bring me cigarettes and whiskey, and then makes her sing a song which is far from demanding any applause. He finally finishes by making her sign a marriage contract, and then takes off his mask and of course its “Tom”, Her sweetheart. Received Two Curtain calls. 15 minutes. Interior in 3. Note) Miss Caborne claims she is not feeling well and that is why her performance dragged so to-day.
Violinist. While Mr. Max Millian is a very good violinist and went very well this afternoon, I think he was handicapped by the big hit the Ollivotti Troubadours made last week. Received just about enough applause to finish to play one encore. While with the Ollivotti Troubadours it was hard to make the audience stop applauding. C.D.F. 13 Minutes. Close in one. 3 minutes
Open in two. Conservatory drop. Doing a minstrel first part. There are nine of these girls, and they both sing and dance very well/ In the second part the girls all make a change to the Watermelon Girls with a special drop. Very good act. Went very well.
High class Instrumentalists. Two men playing violin and guitar. Up to this time this was the hit of the show. Playing selections with variations from different Operas closing with Caviliez Rusticana, which made a tremendous hit. They had to play an encore, and the audience still wanted more. A very good act and should make good anywhere. 13 Minutes in one. Drapery.
Sketch entitled, ‘Friday the 13th’ by Will M. Cressy and Fred Niblo. Miss Cohan may be worth the money but the sketch is not. Cressy has written many better ones. The sketch pleased, but did not make a terrific hit. I think Miss Cohan’s name is responsible for a very good house. CDF in 3. Special plush drop in one. 22 minutes.
Man and woman. Real coon singing and dancing act. Could stand a better place on the bill, but they were booked in here to open the show. I had much rather have a sight act here on account of the people coming in late. The team registered a strong kick because they had to open the show and threatened to quit. However, they decided to work. A good colored act. Can work all in one. Open full stage, close in one. 13 minutes.
“Two Minutes Before Train Time”. Talking and singing. This play had some unusually new and good stuff, and the act went very well. Received very good applause at close, compelling Mr. McMahon to make a comedy curtain speech. 10 Minutes in one.
