In 1. Time 10. Parodist and comedian. Engaging personality, good material in songs and talk. Big hit.
Man and woman. Time 13. In 1. Sing and dance well. The man makes a foozle at being a dialect comedian.
2 girls. Time 8. Palace in 5. Pretty girls who do acrobatic dances gracefully.
F.S. woods. Time 10. Male assistant horseback rider. Rogers is an expert lariat manipulator. He has an odd line of comedy conversation that fits in well with his work. He was a hit.
In 1. Time 16. Black face monologist with some songs. Generally poor with one or two bright moments.
Time 25. “The Sultan’s Favorite.” Special F.S. 3 women, 2 men. Bergere is a great favorite here and hence was greeted with advance applause and encouragement throughout. The sketch is very light and farcical and in my opinion does not give Miss Bergere a chance to display her well known ability to advantage. The theme is novel and the setting highly attractive.
Time 11. F.S. Spec. 3 men, 1 woman. Pantomime and acrobatic comedy. High class material for the line. Laughs frequent.
2 men. C.D.F. Time 28. “The Turn of the Tide.” A good comedy sketch ending with a pathetic touch. It gives apt opportunity for a vocal solo and piano playing, both of which are interpolated neatly.
Time 15. F.S. Garden. 3 women, 5 men. Gorgeously costumed. They open with what I imagine is the Russian edition of Grand Opera. It sounds well and gets much applause. They finish with some great wild dancing which took very well all over the house. First class in every particular.
Time 11. Open F.S. palace, close in 1. 4 young women, 1 man. They play a number of instruments well. They wear kilties and close with a well executed Highland fling and jig. Generally pleasing.
