The program reads "Homer Barnet, in 'The Outcast'," causing one to believe that he is performing a dramatic sketch. However, he simply performs a series of ballads in character. As an old man he is able to make the songs more effective. Barnet's repertoire included "Star of My Dreams Come True" and "Was I a Fool?"
Barnet's knows how to handle his good, strong voice and his enunciation is a delight after hearing many others.
