the sketch performed was the dramatic playlet, "The Operator."
The sketch lost the spell it usually casts by the poor effects of the wind and of the railroad train. The sketch is very dramatic, but the scene of awakening a man who has not slept for seventy hours by permitting him to inhale a cigarette is highly improbable. The two in the company were acceptable, though Miss Clara Knott was a little too noisy in her big scene.
