last song she used "Love Thy Neighbor
as Thyself, but Leave His Wife Alone."
Pauline was obliged to sing five verses.
A nice appearance, a well selected repertoire
of songs, a sweet voice and enunciation
so distinct that her songs could be
made to "go" on the merits of the lyrics,
combine to make Pauline DeVere's offering
out of the ordinary.
