This comedic acrobatic pantomime was nine minutes long on the full stage.
A soldier parades in front of a sentry box in a kilt. A “souse” enters and is shot by the sentry who has comedic difficulty getting the corpse into a body bag. The corpse runs off, much to the sentry’s consternation. The man returns in a bear suit and fights with the sentry. The bear grabs the sentry by the leg and pulls him into the box as the lights are lowered. The bear exits the box rubbing his stomach as though he has eaten the sentry. As the lights go up the sentry is seen asleep at his post, the whole thing having been a dream.
"A novelty for the big small time and, if better played, should prove a knockout on the two-a-day circuit." The style of comedy suggests that the act is of "foreign origin."
