I don’t know when an act has received as much applause in this house as was given this one this afternoon. Even at the finish, when the act was practically done and closing the show, where the people usually walk out, they remained in their seats and demanded more. I feel sure that this is going to be a “money-getter” for us. On Wednesday Mr. Edwards and his company are going out in automobiles and sing on the street and collect money for the Providence Poor Children’s Christmas. I want to say here that Mr. Edwards did not need a second asking to lend himself to the scheme, entering into it with cheerful spirit. The act runs 40 Min. opening about 5 Min. in One, closing F.S.
