He opened with a rollicking number called "Three Scotchmen," dressing for it in tweed Jacket and kilts and working in a few dance steps during the verses. The
second number was "I Got Married" with
humorous lyrics. "Ive Lost My Dog" introduced
a "kid" character with just a
suggestion of pathos in the lyrics and
handling. "The Banks of Bonnie Dune"
was a pretty ballad and for a finale the
scene shifted to the full stage and a girl
assistant joined the singer in a short,
graceful dance for the finale.
The Lincoln
Square audience liked the Scotchman
whole-heartedly and at the Tuesday evening
performance the last two minutes of
the running time was given over to applause.
