The act was eleven minutes long.
Herman is a contortionist (formerly of Byers and Herman) and Miss Shirley is his assistant. Herman wears a skeleton costume as he contorts his body.
"What Mr. Herman can do in the way of tieing himself up won loud applause at the Columbia Sunday evening."
While Herman's contortions are excellent, the act needs more refining in order to craft a good sketch around it.
