“Expiation.” 30 min. F.S. Big advance hand. Mrs. Campbell made a strong impression today, as we expected, the play being a typical Russian melodrama, strong in plot and action, and Mrs. Campbell’s cast all that could be desired. The interest of the audience was held intensely throughout and brought up to a brilliant climax. We have billed Mrs. Campbell very strong here, and there is no doubt that she will draw big, particularly with those who have seen her in the legitimate plays in which she has appeared here previously with great success.
