These children to my mind are greatest children performers in the world. If any act of grown-ups could get the amount of laughs and applause that these children do, we would be chasing them up to pay them $700 or $800 a week. They are just as valuable on a bill as Clarke & Hamilton or Montgomery & Moore and decidedly more than Carter DeHaven & Company. I would be the greatest crime against our houses that could be commited [sic] to let them get away from us because of the salary they ask, they could be headlined in any theatre in the world and get away with it. 17 minutes open in one close in two.
