We had a good house this afternoon and I think Truly Shattuck and the City Girls are to blame for it. When their number was announced the people began to sit up and take notice. Received advance applause. The act went very well indeed. I was very much amused when the Philadelphia Girl sang ‘Bye, bye, let me sleep.’ The girls are all very pretty and handsomely gowned and each can dance and sing. The audience seemed thoroughly pleased. Palace in 5. 19 minutes.
