Mr. Howland is of the Vernon Castle type; he is both tall and graceful. Miss Leach is pretty and bright looking, and always smiling.
The duo have created a dance that has been copied. They possess enough to class to drive the pretenders back to where they came from.
They dance well and perform some acrobatics.
Of the many "society dancers" who have gained success in this new craze, this couple was passed over. When they were at Shanley's, before going to Europe, they were among the very best dancers. They are still quite good but their act did not land. Perhaps this is because they first danced in a restaurant-cabaret that did not have a ballroom floor. The duo have everything the others have, except the reputation.
