The act opens with Miss Raymond and Heider performing as street urchins wondering how they can make the amateur show. Heider then follows with some dancing and a character song that displays his undeveloped talent.
The hard working couple pulled a fair share of applause.
Fred Heider is a tall, angular youth with a pair of legs that should eventually take him past the third spot at Hammerstein's. He flashed a brief moment of eccentric dancing that would have put the turn among the big hits, but it did not last. The opening is very much "small time," giving the act a weal start. The girl dances well. Heider bears watching but requires direction and material.
