The comedian opens the act with a plant stage manager coming on stage asking for a physician in the audience to come upstage and attend to a stricken actor. This stumbled into a conversation with an auditor down front, which eventually developed into an argument.
Davis suggested the man might be inebriated; bad judgement. Since he has chose this act he should prepare for such emergencies. This hampered his start, but he eventually brought his specialty around.
