"Simpson and Dean first offer a song routine and close with dancing. It's the stepping thing that is their main forte, and along such lines they should build up their entire turn."
"On the first half of their act they gain comparatively nothing. They finish big with the eccentric dance a la Bowery, each wearing a coarse make-up to create the right atmosphere." "The pair have a strong finish. At the Hamilton they were a big hit, but on the dancing only. The man is a dancer and not a singer."
